Actors put in Olympic effort as they prepare for four-night run of epic Greek comedy

Following on from a sell-out production about the Red Barn Murders at Moyses Hall, Conservatoire EAST lightens the mood for their second show of the academic year.

Stage and screen professionals of the future – who are all studying at West Suffolk College – are gearing up for a four night right run of a ‘classic’ comedy called ‘The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza’.

The play – that runs from Weds 12 to Saturday 15 November – attempts to cover the entirety of Greek mythology via two narrators and will be staged in the Conservatoire EAST theatre at West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds.

This whistlestop play takes place over two and a half hours and includes audience interaction.

Isabel Gipson, 17, from Diss is starring as one of the narrators. Isabel said: “It’s going to be fun, entertaining and engaging. I play one of the narrators. It’s a big role and I’m enjoying it. It’s full of laughs and I recommend it.”

Isabelle Quilton, 17, from Bury St Edmunds is on an acting course. Isabelle plays four roles in Olympiaganza.

She said: “It’s quite challenging (playing four characters) but rehearsals are going really well. It’s such a fun show that is full of energy and it’s a bit bonkers (in a good way).”
