Eastern Education Group is managed by a Senior Executive Team which consists of the principals of each provision, plus the heads of the services which are shared across the group.

The leadership team is responsible for setting strategy, supporting staff, and leading all operational and curriculum activity. It is accountable to the boards of trustees for Eastern Education Group Trust and governors for West Suffolk College.

Our trustees and governors are accountable for the proper use of public funds and ensuring the quality of the work carried out by the schools and colleges.

West Suffolk College

West Suffolk College is an independent charitable corporation established under the Further and Higher Education Act, 1992.

Eastern Education Group Trust

The Trust was established in September 2024 with the academisation of Exning Primary School and the merger with the SEND group of schools and centres.

Previously known as the Suffolk Academies Trust (Abbeygate and One Sixth Form Colleges), the new trust reflects the wider geographical scope of Eastern Education Group which includes Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, as well as Suffolk.

The trustees hold the leadership of the provisions within the trust to account and oversee the proper use of public funds, as well as ensuring the quality of the work carried out by the schools and colleges.
