I got an A* for my A level in one year – and also made a vampire film
Isabella Wallington, 18, from Dedham took an A level in English Literature in 12 months and got a top grade. She said: “I did all of the course work and first year of content over the summer and I got an A*. I’m ecstatic. My teachers said that I am the only person in the college to have passed with that grade in a year.
In addition to this, Isabella made a vampire film. She said: “I wrote it, directed it and acted in it as part of an EPQ qualification. Now it looks like I am going to Durham to study English Literature.”
Leland Nunn
I got a distinction the day before my birthday
Leland Nunn got a distinction on a digital art and communication course.
He said: “It was a shock. I put a lot of time and effort into my final project. My tutor said she was so proud of me because of the challenges I’ve faced outside of the classroom. But people at the college have supported me. I was treated like a person – not a pawn in the education system. My time here was fun and comfortable. No matter who you are you will fit in.
“Tomorrow is my birthday – I’m excited to spend time with my family.”
Leo Christie
I want to have a meaningful impact on society
Leo Christie, 18 from Hadleigh. He took maths, physics and computer science at One Sixth Form College (ONE) and got three A’s. He is now going to start a cyber security degree apprenticeship with Sizewell C.
The teenager said: “I’m happy with the results – it was more than I expected. I chose somewhere like Sizewell C because they are working towards net zero and that is something I really care about. I want to have a meaningful impact on society.”
And on his time at ONE he added: “I’ve loved it here and made so many good friends. It was a great experience – and it is just such a lovely place to be.”
Jessamy Lloyd
‘Getting these results helps me believe in myself’ and now she is off to Cambridge’
Jessamy Lloyd, 18, from Ipswich got three A*s and a B. She is now off to Corpus Christi in Cambridge to study English.
Jessamy said: “It was a big relief (getting the results) and all my friends have got what they need – so it has been a really happy day. I’m speechless (about going to Cambridge). Getting these results helps me believe in myself.”
“In terms of One Sixth Form College, it has been an incredibly important school for me. I became who I am. There has been huge amounts of support.”
Charlie Partridge
‘I want to make a difference in terms of how education is run’ says Ipswich Town fan
Charlie Partridge, 18, from Ipswich got a DDD* on his sport BTEC and a C in his business A level. He also was involved in football coaching as a volunteer during his time at One Sixth Form College. He said: “I helped out refereeing tournaments and coached sessions as part of a SEND football festival. In terms of what is next, I’m going to Bedfordshire University and hope to become a PE teacher in the future. I want to make a difference in terms of how education is run.”
The sports fanatic supports Ipswich Town and predicts good things ahead of a new season. He added: “I’m feeling positive for the year and hoping to get back from university to see as many games as I can.”

Durham dream realised
Ryan McGuinness, 18, from Ipswich did physics, maths and biology and got the grades he needs to go to Durham. He said: “I’m going to study biological sciences at Durham. One Sixth Form College has been good – it’s been enjoyable.”

Toby gets ready for space launch
Toby Osborne, 17, from Capel St Mary did physics, maths and electronics and got B,B,A. He said: “I’m going to Surrey to study space engineering. One Sixth Form College has been fun with lots of nice people.”
Amelie Cutter
Amelie is off to Cambridge
Amelie Cutter, 18, from Ipswich got four A*s. She said: “I was very surprised and very pleased. Now I am going to Sidney Sussex Cambridge to study Biological Sciences. I’m excited and happy. One Sixth Form College was accommodating and I liked it here.”
