Today, students from every class in the school enjoyed an exciting day of science learning with Science Boffins. The day began with a whole‑school assembly filled with impressive demonstrations and engaging explanations that immediately captured everyone’s attention and set a brilliant tone for the day.
Throughout the day, students took part in practical workshops linked to ‘Plasma Ball and Playful Polymers’ and ‘States of Matter’. These sessions gave them the chance to explore glowing electrical energy, experiment with stretchy and squishy materials, and understand the scientific principles that make these phenomena happen. Each workshop was hands‑on, interactive, and designed to spark curiosity.
Students were truly mesmerised by the experiments, and they also learned the real science behind each one. They asked thoughtful questions, explored new ideas, and developed their understanding of how science links to the world around them. Many students shared how much they enjoyed the experience, with comments such as:
“It was an awesome day. The professor showed us lots of cool experiments.”
“My favourite part was making slime – I can’t wait to take it home!”
We would like to thank Science Boffins for delivering such an inspiring and memorable day. Their workshops brought science to life and created a fantastic learning experience for all.
