Rachel Cannon

Rachel has been a Governor at West Suffolk College since 2024 and is a member of the SEND Educational Excellence Committee and Sixth Form Educational Excellence Committee. Rachel is the Governance lead for Careers.

Rachel spent 13 years working in FE education as a lecturer and leader. Rachel also has over 14 years education governance experience, from a range of roles across early years, primary and secondary settings, including as Chair of Governors of King Edwards VI School.

Rachel is committed to ensuring students’ experiences remain central to decision-making and believes in the power of education to create opportunity, personal success and wider community benefit.
