Peile
Peile, based at Chantry Academy in Ipswich, focuses on supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students with Cognition and Learning difficulties or Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Our purpose-built setting has its own entrance and outside space and is run by caring specialist staff.
We’re proud to be able to offer our students the opportunity to access mainstream classes such as art and PE, whilst having SEND classes for English, maths and social development – truly building a curriculum that is tailored to their likes and talents, meeting their personal needs. Our students also have access to both SEND and Chantry Academy enrichment offers, giving them a blend of the best of both worlds.
What we strive for
Our vision is to develop well-rounded individuals who can go forward into their adult lives prepared for the work environment and capable of being independent and productive citizens.
We believe that high quality education is best achieved when the needs of each individual pupil – social, emotional, spiritual and educational – are paramount. Through focusing on pupils as individuals, we tailor challenging and enjoyable educational programmes to directly meet their needs.
We work with each student and their parents and carers to understand, and work to overcome, their particular barriers to learning so they can achieve their full potential within a secure and caring environment.
