Priory Angel Hill
Based at Abbeygate Sixth Form College in Bury St Edmunds, Priory Angel Hill specialises in supporting a small group of Year 11 students who have Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
We provide an alternative for these students who are struggling to access mainstream education due to emotionally based school avoidance. Our empathetic and nurturing approach ensures our students have access to learning, and we support them in making successful transitions to post-16 providers.
What we strive for
Our vision is to develop well-rounded individuals who can go forward into their adult lives prepared for the work environment and capable of being independent and productive citizens.
We believe that high quality education is best achieved when the needs of each individual pupil – social, emotional, spiritual and educational – are paramount. Through focusing on pupils as individuals, we tailor challenging and enjoyable educational programmes to directly meet their needs.
We work with each student and their parents and carers to understand, and work to overcome, their particular barriers to learning so they can achieve their full potential within a secure and caring environment.
Priory Angel Hill is a pathway within Priory School. Students attending Priory Angel Hill are on the roll of Priory School. The staff working with the Priory Angel Hill Students are all Priory school staff.
