Eastern Education Group took over the Skills Zone at the 2026 Suffolk Show and won a top award for their efforts.
The group – that includes West Suffolk College, Abbeygate Sixth Form, One Sixth Form, a university and outreach centres across four counties – received the best stand representing education.
Carrie Edwards is the Head of Marketing and Brand for Eastern Education Group. On winning the award, she said: “The Suffolk Show means the world to me. I have such fond memories of coming here when I was younger so to win such a prestigious accolade makes me very proud.
“We started work on our presence at the show in November and to come out on top in this category is outstanding. The feedback we had from judges was amazing.
“To win this, we had a skills escalator area incorporating magic science, a tech and innovation zone with partners that included BT and Halo, a teacher training area, a focus on women in construction and our new Construction Excellence Training Centre (CTEC) status, a recruitment team discussing job opportunities and staff and students were all across Trinity Park showcasing their skills and expertise. And loads more going on.
“This award is huge recognition for us – and we will come back even bigger and better next year,” she added.
