College hopes to have audience grinning like a Cheshire cat after watching upcoming musical called Wonderland

West Suffolk College’s Conservatoire East will be staging a modern twist of a musical based on Alice in Wonderland.

Running from Wednesday 20 to Saturday 23 May, Wonderland the Musical brings Alice’s story into the 21st century.

Director Erica Dupuy is excited by the show. She said: “I’ve wanted to do this show for a long time, and I was thrilled to see this new version had come up for licensing. It’s very different to the original Broadway show and we’re pleased to announce that we are the first ones in the UK to do it (third in the world).”

“The audience should prepare to be amazed by this enchanting land as they are taken through twists and turns.

“I’m so proud of what the students have achieved so far, it’s going to be brilliant,” she added.

Eve Dagoutte, who is playing Alice, shared her excitement about the production: She said: ” Getting to play this character has been so amazing.”

Tamsin Weekes, playing Caterpillar added: ” Every song is a banger and there is something for everyone.”

Performances run Wednesday 20 May to Saturday 23 May 2026. For tickets and further information visit here: Conservatoire EAST
