Bridge Builder Exhibition

April 18 @ 10:00 April 23 @ 16:30

The National Trust is committed to making art accessible to everyone, encouraging connections that transcend differences and build bridges of understanding that bring people together across cultures, generations and backgrounds.

The exhibition is called “Bridge Builder” and explores complex themes around tolerance, , resistance and community. Our students have produced work that examines how we live alongside difference, opposing injustice without violence or revolution. To build bridges with individuals and communities connecting across religious, cultural, social, or political divides.

Our students were challenged to connect with the extraordinary life and legacy of Frederick Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol and Bishop of Derry, also known as the Earl-Bishop who inspired the architecture of the Rotunda building at Ickworth to house his collection of treasures from all over Europe. His ideas, actions, and contradictions have provided a rich foundation to explore some of the most pressing themes of both the 18th and the 21st centuries.

Featuring student’s work from BA(Hons) Graphic Communication & BA(Hons) Art Practice.
