What causes crime – and how should society respond? This thought-provoking online series explores how criminological theories differ across the political spectrum. From Left to Right and Centre, discover how each viewpoint explains criminal behaviour and proposes solutions, revealing the deep connections between politics, justice, and social control.

Bio:

Robin Herne is Course Leader for Sociology at the University and Professional Development Centre, as well as a storyteller, poet, artist, and broadcaster. Robin has published poetry, fiction, and academic work, and is a founding member of Clan Ogma and the Ipswich Pagan Council. He was also honoured as the first Chief Bard of the Fens. His lectures blend scholarship with creativity, bringing history and belief systems vividly to life.
