West Suffolk College’s Conservatoire EAST will be staging the riotous murder mystery comedy production Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion.
Running from Wednesday 4 November to Saturday 7 November, this whodunnit will leave the audience laughing and guessing possible culprits right up until the very end.
Featuring everyone’s favourite characters – detectives such as Miss Marple, the Scooby-Doo Mystery Crew, and even Batman – become wrapped up in a puzzling crime at a convention in the secluded Murder Mansion.
Director Emily Taylor-Balls said: “it’s such a fun show, it’s high energy with loads of laughs. Everyone is doing so well. The atmosphere in the rehearsal room is so great”.
Hannah Green, 17, from Bury St Edmunds is studying Level 3 Acting for Stage and Screen. She said: “I’m playing detective Kane, an investigator who has to solve the murder, she’s a very different character from roles I’ve played before. I’ve never seen anything like this play before, it’s a little bit nostalgic and there are so many plot twists.”
Summer Stutters, 17, from Bury St Edmunds is on the Acting for Stage and Screen Pathway and said: “It’s cool playing a really iconic character, especially with such a twist,” about playing Velma Dinkley from the Mystery Crew.
Maisie Speed, 16, from Thetford is studying Level 3 Acting for Stage and Screen. In her first Conservatoire EAST performance, Maisie will be playing a podcaster who has come to the mansion to document the murder and investigation. She said: “This show is brilliantly weird, when else would Batman be interacting with Velma and Miss Marple? Audience members of all ages will find it hilarious.”
Grab your tickets – starting from £5 – while you still can for the chance to find out what happens when all the suspects are detectives.
Performances run Wednesday 4 November to Saturday 7 November 2026. For tickets and further information visit here: Conservatoire EAST
