Students from West Suffolk College’s Year 1 fashion and textiles, and classes from Exning Primary School got together last month to upcycle and transform old woollen garments culminating at the end of the day with an enthusiastic fashion show.
Not only did those involved get to unleash their creativity and imagination, there was problem solving and practical skills to be applied with cutting and using sewing machines. Students saw how quickly you can take an idea and transform it into something tangible. A great collaboration project with colourful and creative outputs and most importantly, everyone involved had a lot of fun.
