The Eastern Education Group, in partnership with Apollo, are set to host a groundbreaking business breakfast tailored for the health and social care industry.
The event, organised by Virginia Planas, a practising nurse and midwife who also works for the group, is believed to be the first of its kind in the East of England.
Taking place at the University and Professional Development Centre in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, the breakfast will run from 7:30 am to 10:00 am.
The keynote speaker for this inaugural event is Oliver Inwards, Apprenticeship Relations Manager for NHS England. He will discuss the strategies underpinning NHS England’s long-term plan, with a focus on workforce supply and apprenticeships.
Virginia (V) Planas, who also serves as the Strategic NHS and Healthcare Partnership Manager, described the event as “pioneering” and emphasised its purpose:
She said: “This is a pioneering event, centred on networking for health and social care professionals. At present, I don’t believe there is anything quite like this happening in the region.
“The mission of this event is to foster closer collaboration for the benefit of the industry and the people living in the region. Establishing relevant connections, sharing innovative ideas and practices and avoid working in silos. This is not about selling courses – it’s about building meaningful relationships.”
