SEND Outreach

Our SEND team is committed to supporting schools in meeting the needs of pupils with complex educational needs across the Eastern Region.

Our Outreach Service facilitates training and resource development to build your school’s capacity to fulfil the needs of a wider range of pupils.

We start by having a conversation with you, identifying your needs and building a bespoke plan for you, working in close collaboration with your school.

How we can support your school

Here are some of the many ways in which we can support your school in enhancing its SEND provision:

  • Developing curriculum adaptation and differentiation
  • Assisting teaching staff with planning, monitoring progress and target setting
  • Developing teaching methods to include kinaesthetic, visual and multi-sensory approaches
  • Person-centred learning
  • The use of stories to teach social understanding
  • Social scripts and social skills
  • Disability awareness
  • Developing inclusive practice
  • SEND maths scheme
  • Working with a range of undiagnosed and diagnosed conditions including ASD, MLD, SLD, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Chromosomal Disorders, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and Williams Syndrome

We can also help to train school staff on a variety of topics, including:

  • Curriculum differentiation for Downs Syndrome
