How does society maintain order – and what happens when that order is disrupted? This engaging online series explores key sociological ideas around power, deviance, and upheaval. From the forces that shape stability to the challenges that spark change, discover how communities respond to internal tensions and external threats. Ideal for anyone curious about how societies evolve, resist, and adapt.

Bio

Robin Herne is Course Leader for Sociology at the University and Professional Development Centre, as well as a storyteller, poet, artist, and broadcaster. Robin has published poetry, fiction, and academic work, and is a founding member of Clan Ogma and the Ipswich Pagan Council. He was also honoured as the first Chief Bard of the Fens. His lectures blend scholarship with creativity, bringing history and belief systems vividly to life.
