Work placements

Support the talent of tomorrow with work placements

All our students are encouraged to complete a work placement with an employer. They are mandatory for our students on vocational and T-level courses and optional for those on A Level courses.

Providing a work or industry placement offers invaluable support to our students and gives you access to a talent pipeline for the future. It can help you fill skills gaps and enable your employees to develop supervisory and mentoring skills.

Benefits of Offering Work Placements

By taking part in our work placement programme, your organisation can benefit in many ways:

  • Fresh ideas and input from the next generation
  • A talent pipeline for the future
  • A way for you to fill skills gaps
  • An opportunity to build a more diverse workforce
  • An enhanced reputation in your community
  • A chance for staff to develop supervisory and mentoring skills

More Ways to Get Involved

In addition to work placements and our partnerships, employers can support students through:

  • Employer-led projects
  • Employer technical talks
  • Student visits to workplaces

However, if you have any ideas on how we can bring the world of work to our students, please get in touch with our team of dedicated work placement officers.
