They raised the cash for the community during their 2025 Christmas market
Eastern Education Group hosted a festive market last year that raised over £3k for two local charities.
They did so by getting a host of local firms to sponsor trees for £250.00 at their first ever Christmas community event that were then decorated in the corporate colours of companies.
(Those who donated cash included Sizewell C, Greene King, MSC, Taylor Wimpey, and TMJ Interiors).
The trees were kindly supplied by the Elveden Estate and given to the college at a reduced rate – and after the fair – all trees were resold to staff members.
All proceeds were then given to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH) and St Nicholas Hospice Care.
And both benevolent causes received cheques for £1550 this week.

At the cheque presentation, Head of Commercial Training, Liz Creasy – who was also the co-organiser of the fair – launched a new date for the 2026 Christmas market and explained why Eastern Education Group wanted to do their bit for charity.
Liz said: “We decided to do this as the charities are close to home, they do so much good work for the community and we are very passionate about supporting people in our local area.
“In terms of the next festive market, it will take place on Saturday 21 November 2026. We want it to grow and become even more successful, we want to increase the number of food outlets, have live flower demonstrations, more music, increase sponsorship for the Xmas trees – and raise even more money for charity.”
Abby Mayes is the Corporate Fundraising Manager for St Nicholas Hospice Care. Abby said: “We are a local charity so it’s vital that we receive donations. It is brilliant Eastern Education Group decided to support us in this way – and the money will be used to support people from our local community with life limiting illnesses.”
Anna Bruce is the Senior Corporate Fundraiser at EACH. Anna said: “We are really grateful for any level of support, so the donations and the awareness that the event helped spread was incredible.”
Eastern Education Group has more plans to work with EACH next month as the charity will be hosting an event on 26 March at the XR lab (based on Western Way in Bury St Edmunds) to speak about the charities exciting future expansion plans.
