Brand new murder mystery is ‘somewhere between The Traitors and an Agatha Christie’

A new murder mystery production starring characters from the iconic board game called Cluedo is set to leave the audience metaphorcially stuck in a library, holding a candlestick, wondering what on earth has just happened.

A Spot of Inconvenient Death: A Cluedo Revuedo has been written by Erica Dupuy, the Group Head of Performing Arts at Eastern Education Group.

Ms Dupuy said: “I’m very proud of what has been created by our amazing team and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

This two-and-a-half-hour show is directed by Emily Taylor-Balls and will be staged by Conservatoire East between 4 – 7 February 2026 and can be seen at the theatre housed in the grounds of West Suffolk College. Music direction comes from Alice Levey.

Deacon Fisher, 17, from Bury St Edmunds is on a level three musical pathway, and he is playing Colonel Mustard in this upcoming production.

He said: “This is a revue show that includes scenes and numbers from iconic plays and musicals. It’s a murder mystery – somewhere between The Traitors and an Agatha Christie. We have songs from Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins and Sweeney Todd. I play an ex-colonel who took part in World War II. I even grew a moustache for the role. It’s a fun show that is very compelling. And everyone loves a whodunnit,” added the teenager who dreams of one day acting in a West End production.

Lorna Fergurson, 18, from Bury St Edmunds is on the same course as Deacon and is playing Mrs Peacock. Lorna said: “This production is a thrilling rollercoaster. I think people should come along and watch it because it’s incredibly enjoyable. It a completely new production and it’s exciting to take people on a journey that we have created that they will have never seen before.”
