In 2018, Emily began her creative journey at West Suffolk College, enrolling on the two-year Musical Theatre course at Conservatoire EAST. Surrounded by passionate tutors and like-minded peers, she found the perfect environment to develop her performance skills and grow as an artist.
Emily’s dedication and love for musical theatre paid off; after completing her studies in 2020, she successfully gained a place at drama school to continue pursuing her dream of becoming an actor. Since graduating, Emily has appeared in five professional productions – including two original musicals – marking a strong start to her career on stage.
Reflecting on her time at West Suffolk College, Emily credits Conservatoire EAST for igniting her passion for musical theatre and shaping her path as a performer. The experience taught her not only technical skills, but also the confidence and determination to follow her dreams.
What made you want to join EEG?
They provided a course full of all the things I loved to do and seemed like the perfect environment to expand my skills.
How are you currently spending your time?
Without WSC, I would not have gotten into drama school and pursued a career as an actor. Conservatoire EAST made me fall in love with musical theatre and drove my passion, making me realise that it was the career I needed to pursue. I have been in five professional productions since graduating from drama school in 2020, including two original musicals.
Do you have any family or other connections to the group?
Many of my drama school’s alumni studied at Conservatoire EAST.
Could you share any special memories or highlights from your time here?
Any time we performed in a show. Some notable favourites were The History Boys and Cabaret. The tutors made every day fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

What advice or messages would you like to share with future students and staff at Eastern Education Group?
For future students: have fun, work hard and be in the moment! The only thing that can hold you back is yourself.
