Dennis joined West Suffolk College in 1984 as a part-time lecturer in Business and became a permanent full-time member of staff after one year. Two notable highlights of his career include the development and introduction of the BA (Hons) Business degree in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University, and meeting his future wife, Penny Stevens. After graduating from university and moving out of South London, he was seeking a professional role, which led him to West Suffolk College.
What led you to work for the college?
I was eager to find a professional role after graduating from university that aligned with my skills and ambitions, At the same time, I was preparing to relocate from South London which added an extra layer to my job search. I wanted a position that would not only challenge me, but also allow me to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

What keeps you busy on a typical day right now?
I am now retired and spending many hours in an old cottage in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. I still see past colleagues and have recently delivered master classes to the current BA Business and Management cohort.
