West Suffolk College part of the Eastern Education Group proudly celebrated their centenary at the 2025 Suffolk Show as major sponsors of the Presidents Ring, reflecting on 100 years of excellence in education while showcasing exciting new initiatives.
Their main marquee located at Flower Show Avenue & 12th Avenue blended history with innovation, featuring interactive activities for visitors of all ages.
Families enjoyed competitions and face painting, while the women in construction team highlighted career opportunities in the industry. Meanwhile, the Train the East project provided valuable insights to employers on navigating the evolving skills landscape.
The college group also made its presence felt across Trinity Park, where students demonstrated their talents in the Skills Zone, showcasing hands-on expertise across various disciplines including their award winning XR Lab and Motorsport Team.
In the Farm Discovery Area, the West Suffolk College Animal Studies team engaged young visitors by teaching them how to safely bandage animals—using teddy bears as practice models. Carrie Edwards, Head of Brand and Marketing for Eastern Education Group, reflected on the event’s significance. She said: ““The Suffolk Show is one of our favourite dates in the county calendar. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our centenary while championing the work we do today. We were delighted to connect with so many visitors across our various stands and hear how positively the Education Group has impacted their lives. As the Eastern Education Group enters its next century, it remains committed to innovation, excellence, and shaping the future of education.”
