Whether you’re a motorsport enthusiast or curious about the billion-dollar world behind the track\, this talk promises insight\, intrigue\, and high-octane history.   Bio Martin Collen is an experienced Lecturer in Engineering\, currently working at the University and Professional Development Centre with many years of industrial experience as a 3D Technical Designer. He first attended a Grand Prix in 1996 and has seen a total of 22 F1 races; his love of the sport has developed primarily because of an interest in the related engineering concepts.

DESCRIPTION:Taff Gillingham looks at the history of the barracks and the buildings\, with stories about some of the men that served and trained thereEarning its Keep: 148 Years of the Suffolk Regiment Depot The Suffolk Regiment Depot was completed in June 1878 as part of the Cardwell Reforms of the Army. Renamed Gibraltar Barracks during the 1930s\, the site remained the home of The Suffolk Regiment and is now also home to West Suffolk College and Regimental Headquarters of The Royal Anglian Regiment. This talk looks at the history of the barracks and the buildings that originally covered the site\, along with stories about some of the men that served and trained there.  Bio Taff Gillingham is a military historical advisor for film\, television\, and theatre productions and\, in a thirty-year career\, has been involved in many major productions. He also co-owns Khaki Devil Limited; a company supplying historically accurate uniforms\, equipment\, weapons\, and props for productions.

Discover how women shaped Britain’s secret war\, both behind the scenes and on the front line. \nBio \nAshleigh Percival-Borley is a historian of 20th-century wartime intelligence\, specialising in how the Special Operations Executive (SOE) has been remembered and mythologised through oral history. A British Army veteran and BBC New Generation Thinker (2025)\, she is a member of the IWM War and Conflict Subject Specialist Network.
